The HUD $100 Program
In November 2007, the US Department of Housing and Urban Development ("HUD") instituted a new buyers' incentive program in which you can buy a home from HUD and use a down payment of only $100.

This is a national initiative; thousands of properties across the country qualify. HUD homes are limited by the maximum FHA loan amount in a given community, so unless you live in an area with extremely high property values, chances are there are HUD homes near you which qualify for the HUD $100 Program.
